Make Every Event Magical!
Trick 1:
Effect:
The audience is shown an empty match box. The match box is closed and after a wave of the magic wand, a coin appears inside the box!
How It's Done:
When the box is shown partly open, the coin is held up to the top of the matchbox by the upper rim of the lower part of the box where the matches lie. When the box is closed, the coin falls into the box and when it is reopened...presto! A coin has appeared! If you want to get fancy, you could pantomime plucking a coin out of midair and synchronizing the sound of the dropping coin with the pantomime of dropping the invisible coin through the box.
Trick 2:
Effect:
You can name the color of a crayon handed to you behind your back! It looks better than it sounds...trust me!
How It's Done:
While you hold the crayon behind your back scrape a bit of the wax off
of the bottom of the crayon with your thumb nail. When you turn around
you hold your hand up to your head as though you are concentrating.
While pretending to concentrate, look at the color on your thumb and
guess correctly every time! Just, make sure the crayons are very different in color. You don't want to be trying to distinguish between two very similar shades of orange!
